We read your STL file directly in your browser to work out your part's exact volume and surface area — no upload to a server required. Based on the print mode you choose, we apply the appropriate material density for that build style, then add the coating weight for any post-processing finish you select, to arrive at an estimated finished weight.

Why part weight matters for drones

On a drone, every gram comes off your flight time and payload capacity. A heavier arm, mount, or housing also shifts your center of gravity, which changes how the aircraft balances and handles. How accurate is the weight estimate?

It's a close estimate based on your part's exact uploaded geometry, but final weight can vary slightly with wall thickness, infill, and print settings. Treat it as a planning figure, and we'll confirm the exact weight before your order ships.

What's the difference between Balanced and Robust print modes?

Balanced is tuned for an everyday strength-to-weight ratio and suits most components. Robust uses a denser build for parts that face higher loads or stress. If you're unsure which fits your part, choose Balanced or get in touch with us.

What do the finish options do to the weight?
